Journalism has changed immensely over the past few years. Generations differ from each other dramatically in preferences and involvement.

There are so many ways to receive information about the current situations compared to what it used to be like and people are slowly shifting into different fields.

Some people prefer only reading newspapers and using the old fashioned sources, while others gear towards networks and television interviews. Another new hobby for the younger generation is simply reading blogs and summaries of current situations.

Disengagement is a problem with the future generations, they just do not care about politics or current news stories, which is not good. We need to be involved in the media.

A lot of people have geared away from journalists because of the dishonesty in the media field. Sadly there are bad journalists who do not get the facts right or check their sources, or are extremely bias and like to ruin the involvement of people.

Citizen journalism is becoming a big thing as well, which is not exactly what the media needs. They want to be the first ones to release a situation but frequently someone can beat them to it by using twitter, snap chat, or you tube when they are in the place of the situation being broadcast.

Journalism is a needed field for our future. We need honest journalists to keep citizens informed about all the current situations in this country and world. We need to make sure they are not bias or dishonest so that information is truthful and people want to watch it.
