  1. I don’t think it matters whether the structure was originally planned as an office building or a senior residence — the design issues are the same. I amended the text to reflect your point, though.
  2. The designers of the new National Library building viewed the building’s interaction with the Knesset and the Israel Museum as its main “urbanistic contribution” —I discuss in a separate essay why I think this is a problem (https://medium.com/walkable-jerusalem/the-national-library-of-israel-symbolism-or-urbanism-1b98ee85da16#.ij3vo4app).
