Galvanizing
This manufacturing process consists of a reaction between metals, which causes the coating to merge with the base metal, to generate more toughness and enhance the longevity of the part. To begin the process, the part is thoroughly cleaned with a degreasing solution (the part must be clean for the reaction to happen). Afterwards, the part is washed and placed in an acidic bath to remove rust and scale. Then, it’s dipped into molten zinc. In this step, the zinc and the base metal react, and form an inseparable protective layer all over the surface.
