What I really admire about Sony phones is the hardware. With the screen off these things can compete with anybody. (some things are a matter of taste I know). But sadly they don’t do groundbreaking stuff because they cant and the software hasnt changed since my Z1 from years ago. And I think with the hardware-background and the eco-system (LDAC on headphones and JUST sony phones) they could really make a difference on the market but certainly they… cant. Is it so hard to make good hard and software? I am a UI-designer, I offered in the forums dozens of times to help out with UI and everything. But certainly they seem to be fine with what is there.
What bothers me the most is the comment by Kaz Hirai, who said: “We dont get out of the smartphone game anytime soon, we’re waiting until the big shift in communication begins and then we will be there. Until then we keep our reseller and deployment streams and stay where we are” I dont like that at all!
