Better bike and scooter infrastructure is a critical part of making people feel safe while riding. It also leads riders choosing to take bikes and scooters more often. At JUMP, we support infrastructure initiatives that help keep our riders safe and promote mode-shifting from car trips to alternative transportation. For this reason, we are proud to be standing with the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition and other groups in support of the redesign of the Market Street corridor. Market Street is the third most dangerous corridor in San Francisco and the Better Market Street Project will bring many needed improvements to address the fundamental issues with the goal of advancing the city’s Vision Zero strategy and creating more sustainable trips.
