Using the Lidl Jamón box as a stand

We bought a Lidl jamón serrano for christmas but didn’t want to buy a stand that would need storing for the rest of the year.

So we fashioned one out of the box the jamón came in.

This is what the finished cardboard jamonera looks like -

Step 1 — Cut a V in one end using a stanley knife. Note those 2 air holes, we will use those later.

Step 2 — Cut the sides out, but not all the way to the bottom. And fold down the end.

Step 3 — Stick some drawing pins in the folded down bit. We will be placing the jamón on top of these to stop it sliding around.

Step 4 — Place the jamón on top of the pins and slot the leg in to the v. The jamón should have come with a string, use this to tie it to the box through the two air holes.

¡Que aproveche!
