You’re not pronouncing my name right. And that’s okay.

In elementary school I often heard “hey Jun, where’s July” and my friend often heard “hey Timon, where’s Pumba”.
Timon and I have been best friends ever since.
Similarly to your story, I now love and embrace my name. I hope to one day give a meaningful and unique name to my children.
Recently though, I was at the park slack-lining and a guy said, “hey Jun, were you born in June” and a bunch of his friends laughed. For a second, I felt like a 5th grader again.
Only for a second though. Like Jay Z, I just brushed my shoulders off 😛.
