There are so much multimedia packages in The New York Times, Wall Street Journal and LA Times. They deal with the social problem, politics and economy etc. And there are less contents that deal with friendly topic. When I skip much of friendly media contents in Journals, what package caught my eye and mind is ’25 Songs That Tell Us Where Music Is Going’ in N Y Times.

It treats the latest trends of music. With 25 songs, it deliveries each what stories that music have, what the music imply and Its effects & trend in music culture so precisely. By reading this article, you can learn about those music’s stories.

It uses multimedia well.

First of all, It’s title image captured my eyes. Its gradient color keep changing in bright colors. And similarly, Title’s font is very various so it harmonize with changing background color. It utilize the multimedia’s characteristic and strength.

When I scroll the page, the music whose story that I read on the screen is turn on. And It’s on and on. It makes me read that article more easily and enjoyably. And each music has own ‘background color’ so the streaming bar which is on the left side of the website screen is changed with those color. When I recognized that, I found that the changing gradient color in title means 25 different songs. In that sense, it’s contents is well-organized.

Each song has each color.

And the pictures that is relevant with contents made me more closer and connected with artist and one’s music. It was sometimes album arts, artist picture.

I like this article because its topic is interesting. And its fluent and well-organized multimedia makes me love this article.

But, It leaves much to be desired.

Its contents and organization would great. But when I read out it, I found that each song’s story length is so different. Some music has so long story and much pictures. But some is not. So It seemed like each song’s importance is different. It would not be different because it would confuse some readers. And some times, the contents of some music is too long to read with complete concentration. It would be better that have short length of contents.

And It does not have video contents. When I think of music, I cannot but think of music video. But this package did not give music video. If it provide music video or stage video etc, it would be more friendly and much easier contents.

Though there are some improvement points in this article, It was great with utilizing multi media. I think there should be more media contents like this article.
