AI Art Is a Dream Come True for Corporations and a Nightmare for Artists

AI art is on the rise, and I wonder if it can be considered real art. Not because of some elitist sentiment to gatekeep art, though some may say that. Rather, my concern is with the fakeness that stems from the faceless and unfeeling nature of its creation. The humanities without the humanity. To me art represents the expression of our existence. To express that existence, in the most authentic way possible, we need to have lived at least a piece of that experience. I understand, though, that to most people that might not matter, and especially not to corporations. As technology improves, I believe companies will have an easier time replacing creative talent, and most people won’t mind, as it becomes harder and harder to differentiate between human and AI art.
