I see this kind of thing time and time again. “Stick to modeling, stay out of politics”. “Stick to playing baseball, stay out of politics”. “Stick to acting, stay out of politics”. “Stick to playing guitar, stay out of politics”.

Why do we never hear, “stick to plumbing, stay out of politics” or “stick to nursing, stay out of politics” or “stick to assembly line work, stay out of politics”?

It’s as if working in any industry that entertains in some way makes you unable to understand the issues of the country.
