The first fact in this article is STAGGERING. “San Francisco spends about $250 million on homeless services each year, the vast majority going to supportive housing, eviction prevention, rental subsidies, and other means to keep people from becoming homeless — again or at all.” Divide that by the quoted 22,000 that are processed every year and you have a total of $11,636 net each person you are helping. Um, money isn’t solving this problem. Get rid of the drugs and the financial assistance and this problem goes away in 10 years. Of course no one is willing to that so never mind.
