Sunday: Does it need re-scheduling?
It happened so that I was randomly going through my Feed and came across an awesome and intriguing post. It gave rise to a couple of questions and thoughts in my mind. “Why is it so, that even though I wake up at 10 in the morning, I don’t feel refreshed?”, “Why is it so, that I am not happy even though there is nothing negative going on in my life?”.
These questions were way too troubling and demanded answers. After much thought I came across a few things. I looked through my ongoing routine, it appeared so that there was nothing new about what I was doing. Every day was just the same. More or less, the same scattered schedule. I realized I was merely wasting my time. If there is nothing new, there is no room for progress. I felt as if I was aging but not growing.
Think about this for yourself. Have you too sometimes not enjoyed a holiday? Or ended up feeling all the more gloomy at the end of it?
To get the most out of a break, it needs be taken when needed. A scheduled Sunday has been creating a poor approach towards our work culture. Often I find myself distractedly waiting for it the whole week, and mourning about the workload when it finally comes. This is hardly a break.
Conclusion:There could be two major reasons for such a scenario:
- I don’t find my work interesting
- I don’t need a break, I am not working at all.
Now, after figuring out the reasons, the problem does not seem to be a monster. Fortunately, mine was the second case and I was just missing my work. I was missing my glow, that spark that used to appear when I worked full-fledged and achieved things.
