What would a journalist write about my life?
I recently just finished reading Invisible Child by Andrea Elliott. The idea of a journalist following a family around and documenting their life fascinated me. The way Elliott wrote the story captivated me to the point that sometimes I forgot that these were real people.
It made me realize I want a journalist to follow me around and document my life. I want that objective third-party point of view to keep me connected to reality.
Turns out I don’t have a life that a journalist or potential readers would find interesting, which is the way I like it, but still — some illuminating objectivity would be nice.
So here is my solution. I’ll be my own journalist.
Ya, I know it's basically impossible for me to be objective about my own life, but I can try, right?
The only thing made up will be the names and places, the rest is all true, at least the way I see it.
