Don’t memorize individual facts. Link them to what you already know

Nothing stands alone. It is all connected somehow. Example: Latency is the time it takes for data to travel from one point to another point in the network. And then Launch School goes into detail about the types of delay: transmission delay propagation delay processing delay queueing delay Instead of just memorizing each type of delay, instead ask myself how does “____ delay” support the idea that latency is the time it takes for data to travel from one point to another? It’s much easier to learn and retain that way.
