And then Launch School goes into detail about the types of delay: transmission delay propagation delay processing delay queueing delay Instead of just memorizing each type of delay, instead ask myself how does “____ delay” support the idea that latency is the time it takes for data to travel from one point to another? It’s much easier to learn and retain that way.
