This is a very well written and equally needed piece. As someone now disabled with Multiple Sclerosis, I say thank you. I do want to acknowledge a Director that did right by me. I was the Production Medical Technical Advisor on the Oscar nominated film SELMA. During filming, Director Ava DuVernay wrote a small principal role of the lead physician and she cast me, despite having MS. I loved this article and wanted to acknowledge Ava and her belief in me. Thanks for the article!
