Know the truth about polyphasic sleep cycles?

20 September 2016

The world is crazy about this new way of sleeping, but did you know what it is and how to use it?
Famous people from older days like Einstein,Leonardo da Vinci, Nikola Tesla and in the modern world many CEO’s of big organizations such as Mark Zuckerberg, Sundar Pichai,Richard Branson, Warren Buffet and many successful entrepreneurs are always using this as a way of catching rest, saving time for other activities. Even Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, founder of Art of Living Foundation sleeps only 2 hours each day.
Time economy is important in this day & age, with evolution, as we have begun multi-tasking and as a result our sleep cycles have evolved over time too.
Most of us typically follow the traditional monophasic sleep. But in fact, research has shown that our ancestors followed a biphasic cycle where they’d sleep at sunset and wake up around or before midnight for a couple of hours before taking a nap till sunrise.
I know a lot of people following the Dymaxion cycles personally, although the Uberman is pretty tough and radical. Personally I have tried and love to follow the Biphasic cycle of sleep. Alright with the praises, here are the cycles in detail. But a word of caution, before you set your mind up to one particular schedule, make sure you’re adapted to it and its compatible with your body. Not everyone can perform well in any of the different sleep cycles.

If you’ve already changed or tried any of these, what was your experience, and which suited best according to you? Do let us know in the comments section below!
