This particular principle is simple as pie… once it’s too late.

If you’re 21 or younger, I understand your skepticism. Your parents are old farts who have no idea what it’s like to be a kid just hitting your stride in the 21st century.

If you’re over 21, but you don’t have kids yet, I’m making a little more sense, but you’re still a ways from nodding your head.

But if you’re over 21 and you’ve got one or more kids of your own, not only are you agreeing with me, you’re shaking your head and chuckling at all the dumb things you did and said back when you belonged to one of the groups above.

You see, it’s a guarantee: once you’re old enough to have an idea what your parents were going through when they were raising you, you’re going to realize they knew what they were talking about. Guaranteed.
