I’m still not sold on the whole approach for AMP. It still feels like it’s a temporary bad practice bandaid over a much bigger issue on the web.

Having said that though, I do advocate that people spend a little bit of time and get AMP working on their site, as well as Facebook Instant articles. Aside from the drawbacks of having to manipulate the tags being generated in some cases (it would be wonderful to use img instead of amp-img) it’s a fairly pain free process to get your content syndicated in a much faster way.

Wordpress has helped this out hugely by easily enabling AMP and FB Instant articles through plugins which means there’s really no excuse for 1/3 or the web not to be using this.
