The Poor People Of The Society

Most often I have experienced poor people begging for alms in front of churches, temples, bus stations etc. The holy scriptures teach us that God comes to us for help disguised as poor, sick and needy. I give a few rupees once or twice a week to beggars approaching me.

What is the purpose of God having poor people in our society?

We need to understand the fragility of human life in this world. It is to remind us that we are blessed by the Almighty at least with the minimum luxuries of life. At the same time, we have a duty, to help our poor brethren who are living around us.

But some people are proud to think with an 'I' feeling that their wealth was made solely by their effort and hard work. Indeed, you worked hard but what if you had a health issue and fell sick? Always remember that to see a new day is a blessing from God.

Many poor people have any place to live. There are thousands of poor people living in slums in unhygienic conditions. Why don't you take a lead to help a poor family build a small house? There are many WhatsApp groups in which you are a member. Spread the word about the plight of a very poor family and help them with the contribution of members of your social media groups.

Don't wait for governments or NGOs to help the poor people of our society. Every human being has a social responsibility to help the downtrodden people in society because we are living happily with the help and support of different societal structures.
