First two weeks on Quora — Has it been worth it joining for extra blog traffic?

So how did I do on Quora so far?
I received 100k of views over the first two weeks with only 20 answers. I was excited at the result, but I am really not sure if that is good or bad to be honest.
Before I jump into the details of whether or not I think joining Quora was worth it, I would like to thank all of those who accidentally read all my answers. I appreciate the support tremendously!
So let’s get to it then. Congrats to me for being on Quora for two weeks!
So why did I start writing on Quora?
I enjoy writing and being able to help people out with what I write has always been a goal of mine. I am also obsessed with topics such as personal finances and career development. Many people in my age group, the 20–35 year old demographic, don’t like talking about these topics and would rather talk about TV shows, exciting vacation plans or sports so I always felt like the odd one out. So one day I told myself why don’t I combine my love of writing and my love for personal finance and career development and write to help people with these two topics. In addition to this I did have a tutoring and coaching side job where I taught English and help people with financial planning and through that I knew that many people needed assistance with their personal finances.
At first I decided to start my own blog. I do have to admit I started a blog back in June and was receiving absolutely no traffic other than a few friends and family who I begged to read some of my posts.
So I asked myself what are some other ways I can reach a wider audience?
I read some blog posts about how some bloggers have been able to attract traffic through Quora. I also remember reading some answers from Quora from some google searches that I have read in the past. I knew there would be no way I could attract the thousands of viewers on my blog that some of the bloggers who wrote their success articles about Quora could, however I would be happy even if 10 more people would be able to read what I have written.
So I started answering questions relating to personal finance and career development on there, officially on Aug. 15, 2018. For the first 5 or so questions I answered, I received around 100 views per question I answered which was still exciting to me. This is because before being on Quora, I only got 10 views in the three months I have had my blog. However at about the sixth question I answered, I received 1,000 views in 2 days and I was ecstatic. Then the next question I answered was this one:

I got 6,000 views within 24 hours and around 20 new followers from zero on Quora.
A week later this same answer was published in Quora Digest 3 out of 4 days in a row:

After those three Quora Digests were sent out it currently has 50,000 views as of today, Sept. 2, 2018.
Apart from the answer that did really well. I answered several other questions as well in both the personal finance and career development categories and in total I have accumulated the following number of view, upvotes and shares as of Sept. 2, 2018:

So you might be wondering how is my blog doing now then?
Well I will admit the traffic is still not great. However since I added the link to my blog to my profile on Quora on Aug. 16, 2018, I have been receiving an average of 5–10 views on my blog a day opposed to 0. I have also received 1 new subscriber woot woot! Here is a look at my stats on my blog.

I think and am hoping that it is just taking time to grow but none the less I am still happy with the little increase in traffic I was able to receive.
So is joining Quora worth it for marketing purposes?
The purpose that I had of writing this story was not to toot my horn about the results of my first two weeks on Quora. As you can see my blog is not doing well at all and out of the 100k of views I only received 58 followers on Quora as of Sept. 2, 2018. There are many others who started Quora in August of 2018 who have received much more views than me and followers in their first two weeks. One of the people I followed, I am not sure if I can mention their name here, received 400,000 views in their first two weeks on Quora so I have nothing to brag about here. I just wanted to through this story provide a realistic idea of what people can achieve on Quora.
If you think you need some type of recognition or fame to be successful on Quora, you don’t. I am someone who is incognito most of the time. I don’t have an account on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or any other platform except for Linkedin and am still receiving decent views on Quora.
After two weeks on Quora though, I think that it is worth it to continue writing answers to 1–2 questions a day for the next month or so. Then I can re-evaluate after that to see if it is helping me bring any more viewers to my blog. It’s also a very nice place to share knowledge with people as well as learn things from others!
I know that many writers need to think about which social media platforms to join when promoting their publications or blogs, since there isn’t time to join every one. I do hope this story, based on my first two weeks on Quora, helps those with their decision as to whether to join Quora.
