How Technology Has Changed Communicating In Our World

We live in a very advanced society in terms of technology and the many ways of communicating. In 1860 The Pony Express began using horses to deliver mail. Fast forward 157 years and now we have so many options to send mail. We still have the classic way similar to how it all began with the post office but I want to dig into the tech side of things.

Emails, Instant Messaging, Text Messaging, Private Messaging via Social Media(Facebook, Instagram) Public Comments via Social Media(Facebook, Instagram) Instant Picture Messaging via Snapchat, live streaming via Social Media(Periscope, Facebook Live) phone calls, Skype/Facetime videocalls. This is a pivot point in our society in the aspect of changing our every day lives from work, home life, school, and so much more. I can call anyone in the world, anytime I want from anywhere I want… Let that sink in! 40 years ago this was just not possible! Now if I want to communicate during class to someone and cant make a phone call I can simply send a text message. These advances are things most people don’t truly appreciate and abuse them. Our great grandparents would wait days if not weeks for a single letter and now we have the power to send and receive virtual letters in seconds.
