Madeline’s Madeline, from writer/director Josephine Decker (and story consultant Gail Segal, dramaturg Alexandra Tatarsky and story editor Sharon Mashihi — all writers, the latter 2 helped develop the film through improvisation) is fucking amazing — gripping, surprising and the best deconstruction of the art of acting I’ve seen.
