Dart is Dead

I fully agree with your article Richard! I have been handed a Dart project and the language was clearly written by someone who does not like JS nor even bothered to learn JS frameworks.

I have experience in the Microsoft world and Node.js world and I can say that Dart is horrific and I refuse to learn it! I find it odd that Google themselves will not be including the VM with Chrome so what future is there for Dart? And why should I now learn a new language just to produce JS in the end? I thought we were moving away from plugins anyway — remember Flash?

The amount of code needed just to get something going with Dart is horrendous when any other languages will suffice. I as a developer, would rather spend time on Node.js/Jade rather than to learn Dart as it is easier or even stick to ASP.NET MVC. The learning curve is much less skills are more readily available than Dart experiments.

Thanks for you article as it reinforces my exact sentiment regarding Dart!
