More words. More pictures. 12 07 Tue.

I like writing. I always have. I also like taking pictures. That was more recent. I’ve always been good at taking pictures. I don’t necessarily take good pictures, but I try to document memories and moments in time. Things like instagram are a good motivator for taking nice photos, but the motivation is generally, at its core, to get likes. I feel like writing is more personal, as far as digital content is concerned. I’m not writing because I want likes, I’m writing because I want to write more. If you happen to be reading this, great! Those that know me well, know that I have huge respect for Casey Neistat. He makes great films, daily youtube videos and is also a business owner, but my reason for finding Casey so remarkable is his whole-hearted committment to creating. Every day, he posts a new daily vlog. Every day, he is creating. I’ve challenged myself to write more regularly before, but never on a platform where once published, it is out there in the world. I want to be able to hold myself accountable and to improve with every post. I’m not sure what my writing style is, or if I have one yet. I just know that I want to create. So, starting today, I will be writing something daily. Sometimes it will be bad, sometimes it will be good (I hope). I have always had a fear of sharing anything I have written and I can’t quite put a finger on why, but I am entering an interesting stage of my life and I feel like if I don’t start now, I’m wasting a great opportunity.

Let’s see where this goes.
