What I don’t get about the whole thing is why even bring up HIV/AIDS in the first place, only to get it so wrong? It feels like an intentional “mistake” made to purposely mislead, in World War 3 size type on a front page (television). Then a super-buried correction on the bottom of page 14 the next issue (Medium.com). Knowing it’ll be passed around on gay Facebook walls and some of us might call it a day.

The rest of the so-called scandals always felt like political attacks more than anything and didn’t hold much water for me. But this one? Something’s wrong here. I’m just not buying it.
