His Divine Presence

We had a moment and its beauty will not die.

Transcending our bodies, and into our souls.

It was worth all the pain

and it was worth every single second.

Never had I felt this warmth before.

The self satisfaction and the love that I had;

Never had I felt so wanted and so free.

You were so bright yet so cold to me.

Graciously you spoke to me like an angel

Calling me back home for the last time.

But you were not divine, my love, only human.

It’s clear to me, now, I loved far too much.

And to this, I suppose:

it’s only human nature to break all that

we touch.
