Although we skipped yesterday for Labor Day, we’re back again for today. Here are your essential stories for Tuesday, September 5th 2017.

Battlegrounds has surpassed 10 million in sales:

Revealed on the game’s official Twitter, open-world battle royale title Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds has surpassed 10 million copies in sales. This comes off of the heels of the game being the most played title on Steam with the highest consecutive numbers (that can sometimes come close to one million) and the game being only on PC and in Early Access. The game first released March of this year, its planned to release on Xbox One and PC later this year (delayed from an original October window).

Here’s the content Gears of War 4 players will be receiving this month:

Despite releasing in October of last year, Gears of War 4 is still receiving monthly content, and The Coalition/Xbox has outlined its newest plans for the title this September. This will include the addition of two maps (one adapted from Gears of War 3), new achievements equal to 500G, a switch to a Quality of Life matchmaking system, and more. While Season Pass owners have received most of this now, it comes out to the public on the 12th.

The Nintendo Switch has received update 3.02:

Its about as small as the other ones, but the Nintendo Switch has gotten its 3.02 update. This includes not only general stability fixes, but also online play for Argentine, Chile, Brazil, Colombia, and Peru. The full online service for the Nintendo Switch releases worldwide in early 2018, the console first released in early March of this year.

Resident Evil 7 is getting re-released later this year, along with new DLC:

Capcom has announced that they will be re-releasing Resident Evil 7 on December 12th, in a Gold Edition which includes all DLC and the upcoming Not a Hero and End of Zoe expansions. The latter expansions are going to be free nevertheless, so if you own the original game, there isn’t much of a reason why you should buy this. Resident Evil 7 first released in January of this year, the aforementioned expansions were recently delayed to the end of this year.

Watch the first footage for a Secret of Mana remake:

Gameplay footage has now surfaced for Square Enix’s planned Secret of Mana remake, which is set to release for Playstation 4, PC, and Playstation Vita. Other details are also included, such as the release date being February 15th and the price being $30. This remake is set to differ from the 1993 title by including co-op, new dialogue scenes and a soundtrack. We will update if info confirms it coming to the West.
