I don’t think science is under attack, hear me out.

Allowing NASA to focus on space is right. Not subsidizing one technology over the other better serves United States economic interests. In a capitalist society we allow things to rise by their own merits. Our food can not be sold in Europe because it’s genetically modified. New evidence suggests that some modified foods like soy build up Formaldehyde. Maybe it’s not safe to eat? Rome poisoned itself with its new technology of pewter by cooking their wine sauce in the heavy lead material. Let’s not be quick to follow. Further while I personally believe in vaccination; hiding the links to autism is dangerous.

Science can be messy and is often wrong. Do not be so quick to chase it to the next atomic bomb, Fukushima, or Chernobyl.

It’s best for science to completely stay out of areas it doesn’t belong — like religion. That will bring heat that shouldn’t exist. You don’t have to win every argument or win every mind. You present the best evidence and let the stronger minds recognize what is. You don’t have to defend the truth — it defends itself
