I wanted to be a teacher. Teachers didn’t make enough money. I needed to be a doctor. So I went to college to be a doctor. 30 years later and many curvy roads later, I’m not a doctor. I’m an instructional designer…pretty darn close to a teacher. I wouldn’t have had the life I’ve had if I’d gone straight to teaching. But yeah, it does sorta take the wind out of all or your sails.
