Our first 6-week development cycle, instituted by Product Manager Jack Hallahan since he came aboard, has been a huge success!
We had some really ambitious goals going in with the new structure for development cycles, and we achieved a lot in that time.
Our focus in the last six weeks was to really build up our event system to the best it can be. So in that regard, we have improved the event dashboard by adding “quick create” for events, forms and emails. We’ve also developed a process for users to review and approve tickets before they are sent out. We also rolled out dynamic image resizing for much better performance on the site.
There were also some things that we did that weren’t part of the goal of improving event functionalities, but were still very valuable. For example, we migrated our Forms function to Formik for a better user experience on the admin side. These have been covered in our other release notes.
As seen in the graphic, we created new flows for creating your organization to streamline the process and make it more user friendly.
One major difference is that you can upload the logo straightaway without having to mess around in the admin settings to begin with.
We have a new sharing widget on the event dashboard so that you can share your event to social media in no time!
You can now add event dates to your calendar via Google, Outlook or iCal.
Naturally we also bashed a lot of bugs out of the system.
In the coming six week development cycle, we will focus on developing our membership functions and event discovery. Helping organization find and engage its members is one of the key goals of the Juven platform. We believe that having great events will lead to organizational engagement and community development for users. Hence to support this, we will be making events much more easily discoverable on our page.
