As a lover of History, Culture, Nature and serenity. Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria is one city that thick all the boxes for me. There are so many historical, natural and man made Tourists attractions in this city.

The palace of The Alake of Egba Land is one place to visit, my favourite is “idi ere” at the Palace. It’s so amazing that even before photographs became a thing in Africa, the locals were able to carve images of some important personalities eg the First Alake and his son that succeeded him. We also saw carved images of some warriors/hunters as at that era. Every carving or painting has an history or it’s representing something in a particular era.
