Hurricane coming and I’m just trying to get green lit.
I’ve been working on my first MVP all night. Pretty simple project on paper, interesting concept, but I’ve been hitting walls and after a couple hours the progress just seems to slow down to a halt.
These marathon coding sprees are such a hit or miss, sometimes I start rolling and everything just clicks, and times like tonight I’m just climbing out of this weird hole that I dug at 2 in the morning.
So I figured I’d just take a break and write a blog about how important taking steps back from your projects is. Oftentimes I find that I just need to be away from a problem and the right workaround just comes to me.
I’m sure I’m not the only one who has gone to bed thinking about an assignment being unsure about how to proceed, and wake up just knowing where to tackle the problem in the most efficient way.
Don’t take this the wrong way, I’m definitely not telling you to procrastinate, or be lazy about your responsibilities, but like I said, stepping away is just what the problem needs sometimes. Find a balance!
