Interviewing job applicants in a coffee shop is fucking barbaric. Stop it. STOP. IT.

I think it depends on the stage of the interview process that you’re in. I’ve had several first-round interviews at coffee shops and breweries and had no problem with it. Granted, at that stage they’re really just making sure you’re not an obvious misfit. I prefer a casual meeting somewhere with good food rather than an empty conference room table where there’s nothing to stare at but you. But once you get to into deeper questioning with difficult answers, yes, a loud public place is not great.
