Don’t Rely 100% On What Your Doctor Says!
Once, I found out about this, my whole world shifted.

Our Trust
From a young age, I was always brought to doctors when I get sick. Well, its for one simple reason, which is to get treated and to get better. It became a habit in my life, when I get sick, I go to the doctor to get better. This shaped my mindset to trusting doctors, because they are the smart ones that can heal me from all my diseases.
I bet this happens to most people, not just me. We rely a lot on doctors and even it become our main core belief to visit doctors when we get sick or simply to get health advices.
Nothing wrong with that…..
Until,
Your disease is a chronic disease, where you have to go to the doctor for regular checkups. First, you would go to the doctor to get diagnosed, then you will be given medications and some “advice”. Then after a few months, you would come back and repeat the same thing. Until, one day you feel better and no longer have that disease.
But for most people, thats not the case. Its more like this:
Once you have a chronic disease, you go to the doctor to get diagnosed. Then your doctors give you some medications and “advices” and you go away for a couple months implementing those. A couple of months later, your doctor tells you to do another medical check up to see your progess. Most of the time, if its a chronic disease, your results will probably be the same or worse if your doctors doesn’t fix your lifestyle. Then the doctor give you some more medications and repeat the steps.
Does that sound about right? Well, to me it is, because I was once in that situation believe it or not. I had a problem with my thyroid, and everytime I do a medical check up my doses increases and more medications! Then I realized, that how come doctors give you medications and not treating the cause of the disease.
Yes, treat the cause, not the symptoms.
You see, this is where it gets interesting. For the whole population, the reason we get those chronic disease is simply from our lifestyle. From what we eat, drink and our rate of exercise. Agree?
Hold that in mind,
Lets step back and look at a minor disease, coughing, we get that disease because we might be eating too much fried food. Then, we go to the doctor for treatment and we will get some medicines in return. But a few months or years later, we have the same disease, so why is that?
Its the lifestyle!! We might be repeating the cycle of eating too much fried food and not taking proper care of our body.
Hence, if we don’t fix our lifestyle, this cycle will keep on repeating.
Coughing, medicine, feel better, bad lifestyle, coughing, medicine, feel better….
Okay, lets get back to the chronic disease…
Now, when we get the chronic disease, the doctor is simply going to give us medicines and more doses of it, if the disease worsen. Not often doctors fix our lifestyle that gets us to that disease in the first place. They don’t give us knowledge on nutrition that can STOP the disease.
I can say this because the rate of preventable death in the United States is crazy high. All of those deaths are preventable with changes in the diet! Well except if it is from accidents.
- 12,000 deaths/year from unnecessary surgery
- 7,000 deaths/year from medication errors in hospitals
- 20,000 deaths/year from other errors in hospitals
- 80,000 deaths/year from nosocomial infections in hospitals
- 106,000 deaths/year from nonerror, adverse effects of medications
These total to 225,000 deaths per year… Scary!
Two reasons why this happen!
Well for starters, doctors don’t get enough sleep, because they are expected to work long hours. This makes them to not able have clear mind and sleep deprived (you know what whappen when you don’t sleep enough right.) According to this study by PubMed, they concluded that work hours by healthcare providers in the United States are unsafe. Not only they are working for shifts that are over 12 hours but also long night shifts.
Besides sleeping, doctors are not trained enough in their medical schools regarding nutrition. YES, they don’t! Let’s look back into the history. In 1979–1984, there was a survey asking medical schools whether they have a nutrition in their curriculum, as you can see, the numbers are going up and then going back down.

This is pretty low right, but looking at another recent study, look at what we got!

Only, 26 schools required nutrition course! Are you saying, that in the year 1981–1982, there were more medical schools requiring nutrition! On top of that, doctors only requires to have 28 hours of nutrition classes in order to become a doctor! I bet I can learn that over a weekend! Yet, we ask doctors for nutrition advices😬.

So What?
We all know that, nutrition is related to lifestyle. If your diet/lifestyle is poor, you will get fatigue, tired, or sick. Now if your doctor only gives out medicine to treat your fatigue, do you think, you will be healthy again?
I don’t think so!
If you don’t fix the core cause of your disease, I don’t think you will ever be heal, you will just feel better on medications! Take away the medications and, you will be back to being sick.
Now, take a chronic disease, if doctors “heal” you by requiring you to take high doses of pills, regular checkups, or even injections of medicines, do you think you will get better?
You will get better, if you treat the cause of the chronic disease, not the symptoms. One way to do so is to change the nutrition which is lifestyle. The science is clear that going plant based brings lots of benefits, reverse diseases, and put people off medications. So why are doctors not prescribing that to their patients.
Simple answer…. They were never taught nutriton in their medical school!
Conclusions
“ but dude, you are making big claims here, who are you? What degree do you have”
Yes, I am not a doctor, I don’t have a degree in nutrition. But the science is clear! If you look at papers and papers of independent studies on the effects of plant based diet on people vs. meat diet. You can see the amazing different results, the numbers don’t lie here.
On top of that, I have seen changes happening in my life by going plant based and my blood test is also shown to have positive results.
Look, all I am saying here is, don’t trust your doctor 100%, because some of them don’t even know about nutrition (AKA, can fix your health). So, do get yourself check for second opinions from your doctor. But if you trust your doctor 100%, be my guest. Just make sure your doctor is not the one recommending you to eat salmon, egg, beef, or chicken. If thats your doctor, then you know what kind of doctor you have.
