wonderfully well written. That 81 percents isn’t true if we take all of those that identify with the Christian faith instead of just the conservative Evangelical subgroup. Not sure how far but at least slightly.

Becuuse I do know individuals, congregatons and even some few denominasions that stand right there along side else is resisting the ideas of oppression that many of the more conservative groups adhere to.

I have often said that anybody that puts their emphasis on their identify as a “American Christian” as many of the more outspoken ones do, combining the two concepts as though they are one betraying one of the two if not both. They are creating an idol of their being American, which is idolatry, and probably not truly being fair with the country either at one level.
