I am a white, six-foot tall, two hundred and thirty pound man who grew up mostly in the south.

This safety pin means that if you are afraid for your safety or are being harassed, I will help you.

I will walk with you. I will stand with you. I will sit with you. I will talk to you.

I will affirm and defend your humanity, no matter how different we are.

I will defend you to the police, and from them if necessary.

I will always seek to defuse dangerous situations first.

But I will never be a bystander. If necessary, I will put my body in harms way for you.

This is my promise of radical inclusion and solidarity.
