But there are arguments that some of the warming has been held by deep sea levels rather than the atmosphere, and that would not appear in satellite images; and that the instability in things like the arctic air masses & the jet stream (which we know about here in the UK, big time) have got much worse since 2015, and they are to do with actual feedback loops around decreasing polar ice, not theorised ones.

I’m much more inclined to believe that a lot of the “climate change is a conspiracy among climate scientists” stuff is actually a product of the fossil fuel industry following big tobacco‘s “let’s pretend everything is fine until we get caught, that way we make most money” game plan, rather than the other way round. I’ve seen what those guys get up to — they tried to establish fracking just down the road from me — and it’s clear that they have no ethical standards at all, if there’s a few more bucks to be made. Just look at the mess tar sands extraction has made in Alberta, if you think they give a monkey’s about the rest of the planet.

Whereas the climatologists I have met & argued with seem to be pretty credibly worried… Even the ones that were politely unconvinced until recently…

Anyway, nice talking to you, but got to go get busy now.
