Interesting that your request for nuance in who we privileged folk criticise gets such a simplistic response.

David Hyde, for example, can’t see that you’re not asking us to agree with everyone who’s female or black or immigrant — just to understand why they might be angry, and listen to their views with respect, whether or not we like how they express them.

And Guy Baehr can’t see that you’re not disallowing anyone from the debate. For him, someone else getting their say is always going to shut him out — he can’t understand that debate is not a zero sum game, there’s room for everyone.
