I called Obama a “neoliberal school privatizer.” I.e., he favors allowing private institutions to deliver services once delivered by public institutions. If letting private corporations run schools completely outside of the control of a government school board is not privatizing public schools, I’m not sure what is. Just because charter companies get government contracts doesn’t make them public. After all, are private prisons a myth? I guess Raytheon and Lockheed Martin are state-run enterprises according to your definition of a “public” institution. *Education* is a public good, but charters are state-funded private institutions.
How about dealing with the actual arguments I make in the article rather than playing semantic games?
