The charter school movement is school privatization. Charters are publicly funded, but they’re run by private, oftentimes for-profit corporations. They’re a “private-public partnership” as neoliberals like to call them. They’re a way to bust teachers unions and introduce market incentives to education. Sorry, but you’re completely wrong. With a “critique” like this, I’m glad you’re saving yourself the embarrassment of attempting to respond to my article.
