We have now shipped half of all Creator Ci40 Kits. We would be keen to hear how you are getting on with your Creator kits. Let us know and start a discussion on our Creator Forum: https://forum.creatordev.io/
We are currently working to produce and deliver the rest of your kits this month.
Multi-threading whitepaper and Creator Ci40 test source code released on GitHub
One key advantage of our Creator Ci40 IoT Hub is the powerful dual-core MIPS interAptiv cXT200 CPU is multi-threaded, allowing you to do more work in each duty cycle, particularly for parallel tasks.
We have released a whitepaper which provides a top level review of multi-threading with the cXT200 MIPS processor. Source code for the examples discussed in the whitepaper is also available in the GitHub repository.
Check out our whitepaper on multi-threading here: https://github.com/CreatorDev/Ci40-multithreading-whitepaper
We have now shipped half of all Creator Ci40 Kits. The Backerkit tracking numbers will be updated by tomorrow.
If you have received a tracking number from Backerkit, then your rewards have already shipped.
If you don’t yet have a tracking number from Backerkit, your kits have not yet shipped, but will hopefully ship in October.
We will keep you updated.
Support for MIPS coming to RIOT OS
Following our presentation at the RIOT Summit this year, there is on-going activity to bring MIPS support to RIOT OS. We have a base level architectural port up and running on the 6LoWPAN Clicker board, MIPS Malta FPGA and Digilent Wifire board. We are adding more support for peripherals and working to get support merged upstream in RIOT.
Follow our progress on Github https://github.com/RIOT-OS/RIOT/pull/5885
