Chkalovskaya Staircase

I would like to tell you about one of the most beautiful places in Nizhny Novgorod — the Chkalovskaya Staircase. It goes from Verkhnevolzhskaya Street to Nizhnevolzhskaya Embankment. At the top of the climb there is a monument to Valery Pavlovich Chkalov, the commander of the crew who flew over the North Pole. Lestina also connects the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin with the Volga coast. At both ends, tourists can find museums dedicated to the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries.
