In October of 2013, I was asked by my dear friend Har to join her on a mission of Healing and Love. As alternative and holistic practitioners, we both shared energy healing options to those who reached out for support and assistance.
This particular day, with the invitation from a family of a young boy who was battling cancer, we found ourselves driving to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia “aka” CHOP. We were feeling a sense of Blessed relief to finally meet Brandon, a sweet 9 year old who had been battling cancer for close to a year.
We had previously learned a bit about the sad story of harsh life challenges this beautiful young boy endured in his short span of life.
Brandon was born to parents who, due to addiction issues, were unable to care for him. He was now being cared for by a loving and responsible family member. Prior to the time of our visit, a custody battle ensued and was ongoing, initiated with the hopeful intention of making his present stable and healthy living more permanent.
In the midst of this emotional custody battle, Brandon became very ill with a debilitating and lethal diagnosis of Leukemia.
As we arrived at CHOP and checked with in security in at the visitor’s desk we felt a renewed sense of HOPE, mostly due to the mystical and divinely guided experience we shared the moment I arrived to pick up Har at her home.
There is no possible way to explain the visual scenario which greeted us this particular morning!
… unless of course, you have personally experienced Divine messages and signs from “Beyond” this realm
To better explain, I invite you into my world of Spirit, a realm I am most comfortable in…
For years, as an Intuitive and Medium, I have channeled my Spirit “guides” a collective of wise souls, or perhaps even angels, who refer to themselves as “Many Feathers.”
Feathers (mostly white ones) often appear to me, usually along the path I am walking on, or off to the side in an unusual but easily visible place for me to notice. This phenomenon usually appears when something important requires my attention, or I need affirmation or confirmation about the path I am on.
In the past, I’ve told Har about this and she said for her pennies show up, appearing in unusual places.
Well, oddly enough on the morning of our trip to CHOP, a penny appeared on the back of my toilet. I am the only one who uses the bathroom and I certainly didn’t place it there. So I immediately thought of Har.
When I arrived to her home to pick her up to drive to Philly to see Brandon even I was not prepared for what awaited me!
I parked my car on the street in front of her home, and decided to cut across her front yard to her front door instead of walking around on the driveway and sidewalk.
Lo and behold… a startling visual message was waiting for me to let me know Branden would be alright. Her yard was filled with tiny white feathers! The best and most amazing part was the presence of a small white feather sitting atop an oddly colored mushroom by her front door!

With the amount of feathers scattered all over her lawn, my initial thought was something caught a bird, but there was not a trace of blood or anything else to make me think this was a crime scene perpetuated by a bird predator.
Instead, here was a tiny white feather balanced on top of an eye-catching unique mushroom. Clearly this was a message to me about an unfolding Divine plan.

Har and I both felt the message was a sign of the arrival of good news, affirming we were heading on the right path to share this time with this special young boy.
After arriving to CHOP and then to Brandon’s room, we introduced ourselves to him and to his caregiver. We then asked permission and to see if he was receptive to letting us put our hands over him in the hopes of relieving pain.
He looked at us with a gentle, innocent smile and said “Yes.”
Within a few minutes of our healing work with him, his caregiver asked if we would stay with him for a few minutes while she stepped outside to speak with his doctors who had just arrived.
When she stepped back into the room I could see tears in her eyes as she immediately shared this news…
“Brandon is in REMISSION! After this last round of Chemo they will let him rest for a month and see where things are with his prognosis.”
In this moment, we were blessed to share this miraculous announcement. Our “feather signs” had already prepared us for receiving such amazing news, but this truly was more wonderful than we imagined.
To have been able to be present for such a moment in this family’s life was a gift and a blessing to both Har and I.
We were once again reminded of the power of Love and Prayer, and there is no doubt we were in the presence of an Angel this day, for it is my belief all children who face catastrophic health/medical situations are Angels who have come to earth to teach and touch all the people around them.
Sadly 3 years later Brandon passed….
Here is an excerpt from his obituary…
Brandon went home to Jesus on Monday, March 20, 2017. He was 12.
He was born in Levittown on October 23, 2004
He died peacefully, surrounded by his loving family. Brandon died from complications of the flu and the result of battling leukemia for four years.
Our hero and inspiration, Brandon was courageous through all the battles he faced and always had a smile on his face. He cared about everyone else more than himself. His gentle and selfless spirit was an inspiration to all he touched and who loved him.
Six years after meeting this sweet earth angel, his innocence, bravery, heart and Spirit still reach out and touch me… a reminder of the powerful and indelible impact we often have on others perhaps without even realizing it. Brandon still lives on in my heart.
We are ALL Relevant to each other…and our time here matters!
