Praying for Spring

Day 39

Dandelion

Frozen deep down under

Waiting for spring

To give a thumbs up

For Earth to

Push out the cold

For sweet rain to

Tickle and warm the soil.

March twenty-first

Four AM

Alive, still, awake.

Cool dew,

Sliding between toes

Tickling beneath

Bare feet

The aroma of freshness

The feeling of freedom.

Perfect, pretty, puffy

Standing there all alone waiting

To be touched

By a touch of sunshine or

A whisper of wild wind

Make a wish now

The breeze is coming by

Blowing wisps away

One by One

With no direction

And no end.

A sea of limitless sunshine

Miles and miles

Speckled pure yellow radiating

Under the summer breeze

The smell of happiness

The glow of nature

The radiance of life

A blank yellow notepad waiting

To be written.

As quickly as they came

Popping up twofold,

Day after day,

As quickly as winds carried this trend

Autumn air settles in and they

Disappear

Just as fast.
