Conquer Your Cave
Here’s the beginning of it all:
Some people have painted a mental picture of what they think their lives will look like in some years. Whether you’re a 26 year old looking at the world around you finding that everyone is getting married around you, or a child imaging what you expect your late 20’s will be like. We all set some kind of expectation for ourselves on our timeline. So, we stick to it and try to make it happen. That’s great.
See, for me, I painted the picture and I painted it so damn well…only to find that it wasn’t for me at all.
I’ll explain it later.
Here is what I am doing. I am going to unleash my personal journey and share it with you. I am going to share things from my therapy sessions, my raw thoughts, my ups and downs, VERY personal things. To all of you. Why? Why am I being vulnerable and doing this on a public platform? Because one of my goals in life is to change the stigma that is associated with mental health. How? Well, lets start with this blog series I’ll be writing up. Hopefully they’ll come together to equate as a book, and if you keep up with me, I hope that I will be able inspire, empower, and motivate you.
So please, just listen to what I have to say, and know that you are not alone. We all have this cave in our lives, and I am going to tell you how the hell I managed to get through it. It amazes me I still was able to conquer it myself.
What is this cave? Come back tomorrow.
