There are too many assumptions that you’ve already made in getting to this point that it really isn’t worth the time to address. You should really read up on why elections aren’t zero sum games. You might also consider federal funds. You might also want to study the passage of women’s suffrage, child labor, the 40-hour work week, and plethora of other policies largely introduced and advocated by third parties only later to be adopted by mainstream parties. You really ought to educate yourself about positions you are critical of before writing a piece to satisfy your ego.
