And when I’m reborn as a dog…
“Do you believe in reincarnation?,” asked the feral cat.
Before I could mull over it, she shot another query, “Which species would you wish to be born as if not human?”
“A Dog” , I quipped.
“hmm… a dog“, with an abject disdain, the cat inquired, “and what do you plan to do then?”
And when I’m reborn as a dog, I will roll forever in this golden grass under the canopy of deodars.
I’d gladly give up words for woofs. I’d renounce all of my lies for love.
I’d greet my loved ones with that unbridled joy of seeing them return from the war front.
I’d live how life should be lived.
I’d sink my sharp teeth into the flesh of some mean rascals who deserve a biting.
I’d hug the people this world has long ostracized to marginalia, the misunderstood(s).
I’d let go of living for a perfect future and run to where I am meant to be.
And may be I’d become what I am trying to say…
