We are meeting Amazing Amy and Nick Dunne at some party where guy is asking Amy about which one of guys she will choose to talk. Nick is pointing out some handsome man and one hipster. Amy is saying that she like funny guys and not “funny” guys. They are leaving party and Nick is going with elevator pitch that he is not going to be bluffy with her about relationship. There is theatrical gimmick: Amy is saying that he looks villainous with his chin so viewer could start imaging him as a potential killer. Viewer is aware of some elements that would potentially lead to intriguing action, this one is first on series that are crafted to make viewer thinking that he is a killer.
