I totally agree Chris. Working with a lot of traditionally educated engineers I way too often run into PowerPoint slides crammed with letters from top to bottom. You get overwhelmed just looking at it. I often recommend my colleagues and clients to add one picture or illustration to any slide and to keep at least 50% of the slide empty. This helps the receiver focus there attention on what is important and forces the maker of the slide to only keep what is critical and relevant to make a point. Work (almost) every time ;)
