I have yet to encounter a doctor that has any nutritional training or knowledge. This isn’t an area of expertise for 99% of doctors out there. They are definitely NOT a good source for recommendations or for even the most basic level of information.
Safety needs to start with getting supplements from a trusted source, not with the myopic Western medicine views the FDA reflects where we end up with non-natural, synthesized substances that inherently have side-effects and don’t represent the best approach at all.
While adulteration is an important issue, this article is way too biased by the limited, atomized viewpoint Western medicine continues to embrace.
